Build Margin is a construction estimating platform built specifically for Australian residential builders. NCC 2022, HIA contracts, SOPA-aware progress claims, and AI takeoff — all built AU-first, not retrofitted from overseas software.
Why we built this
Most construction software wasn't designed for the way Australian builders actually work. The compliance gaps (NCC line items, SOPA payment claims, HIA milestones) sit on top of workflows that come from US or UK origins. We're fixing that — building the platform Australian residential builders deserve, from the ground up.
What we're doing differently
- AI-native takeoff — a vision model reads your PDF plans, not a prompt-based assistant.
- Integrated supplier ecosystem — suppliers are first-class users of the platform, not just live price feeds.
- Magic-link client + tradie portals — no app downloads. Phones, browsers, no friction.
- AU compliance built in — NCC 2022 line items pre-mapped, HIA milestone templates, SOPA-aware claims (VIC first).
Where we are
We're an early-access platform. We work directly with a small cohort of Australian residential builders to make sure the product solves real problems — not invented ones.
